Three years after CJ Carr called Chipotle his dream NIL partner, the college quarterback is finally getting the deal. As part of the partnership, Carr will compete against fellow students at his university for the title of Chipotle U Valedictorian — and have his own menu item at Chipotle.

Carr’s love for Chipotle is well documented. Shortly after committing to his university in 2023, he shared that his dream NIL deal would be with Chipotle. Since then, he has called Chipotle his favorite restaurant on campus, ranked among the top 1% of Chipotle Rewards members nationwide and shared one of his go-to orders during a College GameDay interview.

The Race for Chipotle U Valedictorian
Carr will challenge fellow students on campus to compete for the No. 1 spot in the school’s Chipotle U rankings. When the competition concludes on December 31, 2026, the three students who finish atop the rankings will each be crowned a Chipotle U Valedictorian, earning free burritos for a year and a signed CJ Carr jersey.¹

How to Compete

1. Students at Carr’s school can join Chipotle U Rewards by visiting chipotle.com/chipotle-u-rewards and verifying their student status via ID.me.
2. Students can climb the campus leaderboard by ordering Chipotle on the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com or scanning their Chipotle U Member card at the register for in-restaurant orders.

Chipotle U Rewards is a program exclusively for college students that gives verified members 1,000 bonus points at enrollment and 20% more points on every purchase. Students can enroll at chipotle.com/chipotle-u-rewards.

“Chipotle has been my dream NIL partner since I committed to play college football, so this is a full-circle moment,” said Carr. “I was already a top 1% Chipotle customer this summer, but I wasn’t signed up for Chipotle U, so I was definitely leaving some points on the field. Now that I’m in, I’m going for that No. 1 spot. There are a lot of Chipotle fans on campus, so I know they’re going to make me earn it.”
